"Ioannis spontaneously offered to customize our itinerary at the outset of the tour. He was flexible and generous. Ioannis is clearly a well traveled and deeply curious person having arrived the night before from India. He's also a lawyer and actor who feels strongly that theatre's role is to challenge us to think. I loved this. His knowledge was accordion-like. He was able to stretch on command and play keys simultaneously. He didn't pontificate and deliver his tour in a unilateral/scripted way but engaged in a wide ranging two way dialogue about contemporary Greek society and culture as well as many periods of history. For every question we asked, he had a ready answer--a perspective and compelling way of telescoping out to provide context to his entertaining stories. Many guides are so full of facts that you get a bit lost in not obviously relevant details. Not with him. What I loved most was that we got to know an educated, thoughtful person which, for me, is the reason I travel. He was present and knew how to give and take. This is one of those tours that will linger and be folded into the stories we tell about our travels in Greece. "

"Costas was incredibly knowledgeable about the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum, history of the site, and Greek Mythology. Costas walked us through the highlights of the museum providing great history and context for all the buildings, reliefs, and statues. The museum is beautiful and has a lot of information. Using a guide was so worthwhile and I would highly recommend it to everyone. Then walked us to the site to finish the tour. We loved this tour and Costas worth every penny!"
