Alexandros provided a fascinating deep dive into the architecture of the Acropolis Museum, specifically pointing out how the top floor is glass-walled and set in the exact dimensions and orientation of the Parthenon. Seeing the original friezes positioned precisely as they would have been in antiquity—while looking directly out at the temple itself—offered a perspective we never would have gained on our own.
The walk to the summit was equally impressive. Alexandros is a fantastic storyteller, enriching the climb with historical context and architectural details that made reaching the Parthenon feel like a true culmination of the day’s journey. "The walking tour with Alexandros was one of the best tour during our trip to Athens. From the start, Alexandros was helpful in providing the logistics in securing the tickets to the slopes and museum. During the tour, he explained in great details of each point of significance along the path and stopped to allow time to refresh and take pictures. Our family truly enjoyed the tour with Alexandros and would recommend him highly should anyone need a guide to visit the Acropolis. The last but not the least was the delicious seafood restaurant he recommended. 😋😋😋"
"Alex is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide. He very cleverly took us through the history of the Acropolis with very helpful images of the Acropolis throughout time. The Acropolis museum is a masterpiece- and a beautiful introduction but it would be overwhelming without an expert guide. Alex gave us wonderful insights into how ancient Greek culture influences modern Athens and the rest of the world. We finished our tour at dusk when the soldiers lowered the Greek flag. There were not many people around and it absolutely beautiful. "

"Ioannis is truly a 'Master Guide'! He is a man of many talents and spending the day with him was like seeing an old friend for a long chat about many different things. We enjoyed being out of the city for the day and the southern coastline was beautiful. The Temple of Poseidon was impressive and definitely worth the trip. We stopped for dinner on the way back to the city and saw an amazing sunset over a marina. We were two couples traveling together. A memorable day was had by all. We highly recommend him to you. "

"Alex gave us an amazing tour of the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. Make no mistake about it, it’s quite a climb up the hill and we had some trepidation about it. But Alex paced us so there were plenty of chances to catch our breath as he talked about what we were seeing and all the history. Next thing we knew, we’d made it to the top. Amazing view and amazing history. So glad we did the trip, and even happier we did it with Alex- we really enjoyed our time with him!"

"Thank you Thomas for such a great tour of the area outside of Athens! On this tour Thomas will take you to the local spots that are not visited by the average tourist. We had an excellent lunch in full view of the Poseidon's Temple. Stopped at a few local spots along the way for views and food.
