Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"What a terrific immersion into the tastes and culture of Madrid - one of the best tours my family has been on! Piero loves his city and showed us amazing spots, taught us great history and showed us what Madrid is all about - my husband, daughter and I all felt like we had a great time with a friend. Don’t hesitate to book!"
"Our family of three, including our 11-year-old daughter, had a wonderful time learning about Madrid, the culture, and tasting different food with Marianissa. We would never have gone to the places she took us and enjoyed the local food, her stories and the company. "
"Piero is punctual, passionate, well prepared and knowledgeable. He is a consummate foodie that’s well informed but not just about food but also about global history with a modern perspective. His gregarious delivery is infectious and inspiring while the food/drinks were a joy to partake. We would highly recommend this tour. "
"Piero truly gave the best food tour of Madrid-- everything was within walking distance, and incorporated so much of the history during the experience which made the food even more enjoyable. Even after the tour, helped with recommending other activities to do in the area, and I even visited a few places the next day to eat on my own. All in all 10/10 experience would highly highly recommend!!! <3"
"From the moment we booked our tour weeks before arriving in Madrid, Maria was outstanding. She communicated with us before our trip, happily answering questions about the city and helping us feel excited about our visit. The evening before our tour she checked in to reconfirm the time and meeting point, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our morning with Maria was simply wonderful. She has the perfect balance of warmth, light humour and an incredible depth of knowledge about Madrid’s history and culture. At the start of the tour she explained what we would be seeing and checked that it matched what we were hoping to experience, making the whole morning feel very personalised. One of the unexpected highlights was a visit to a fantastic local food market. As someone who loves great produce and local cuisine, I absolutely loved this little detour. It gave us a real insight into everyday Madrid and was one of my favourite parts of the tour. Maria was also very considerate of the summer heat, pacing the walk well and making sure we were comfortable throughout. She is incredibly easy to spend time with—you feel more like you’re exploring the city with a knowledgeable local friend than being on a formal tour. We learnt so much about Madrid, its history, its people and its culture. By the end of the morning we had already decided that three days in Madrid simply isn’t enough we’ll definitely be back. Best of all, Maria set us up perfectly for the rest of our stay with great recommendations, so we could make the most of our remaining time in the city. This was exactly the introduction to Madrid we had hoped for. If we return, we would choose Maria again without hesitation. Highly recommended."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Prado with Laura. We didn’t want to explore the museum on our own—we wanted to see the most important paintings and gain a deeper understanding of the art and its history. Laura brought the paintings to life by sharing the stories behind them and providing historical context that we never would have discovered on our own. The tour was engaging, informative, and memorable. I would highly recommend taking a tour with Laura."
"Piero is one of the best guides I’ve had and certainly the most entertaining. This is not a run of the mill tour with facts about every stop on the tour. It is fun cultural facts and history intertwined together with much interaction his guests. Piero is native to Madrid and clearly loves his city. On top of the entertaining tour, Piero practically provided a whole guide book worth of information via WhatsApp, and his recommendations were well received on our visit. In short, having taken dozens of tours all around the world, I would strongly encourage anyone to choose Piero unless you are really looking for a facts only tour. "
"Carolina was absolutely fabulous as our guide. She was polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. "
"Victor did an excellent job showing us a set of historically significant locations in Central Madrid. He is a knowledgeable guide and was fun to get to know. "
"We were a group of four on our first day in Madrid, my wife and I are 25-year-old daughter and her boyfriend. To say that we had fun, is to say that the sun is bright and hot in Madrid in July. Pierre is so full of energy and love for his city. We could’ve spent days touring with him. He is also extremely knowledgeable about the history of Spain and particularly bull fighting ( and know that a toreador does not fight a bull). We shared vermouth, sherry, wine, and beer with pinxtos, croquettes, calamari sandwiches, tortillas, patatas bravas all in small or historical places we would never have found on our own. Pierre provided us with so many tips for the rest of our stay that we will be taking advantage of. I would like to tell you more, but I might ruin some surprises. He has in store for you. Don’t think about it book your tour with Piero now."
