"We often enjoy a tastings tour when we go to a new city, and one of the things we love is how the hosts will personalize the tour based tastes and dietary restrictions. But the best part often ends up not being the actual tastings (which were great!) but the connection with the host. We were so lucky to connect with Mara, who not only teaches food and culture classes, but is exceptionally kind and warm and easy to talk to. Within about a minute, you feel like you’ve known Mara for years. And not only did she give us great information on the food and cultural piece, she gave us fantastic recommendation’s about other things we needed to be sure to check out. "Our first night in Florence, we arranged to meet up with Eden for the Chianti and Charm tasting journey. Within about a minute of meeting Eden, we felt like we’d known her for ages. Her easy laugh and fun demeanor made it so easy to just settle in for the tour. She explained some of the common foods we might run across, and some possibly less common, as we tasted them in a piazza-side restaurant patio. And we enjoyed delicious Chianti of course. And then as we ate, we talked about everything that came to mind, but especially food and travel and family. We did more walking after that stop, with Eden pointing out recommendations for places to go, and we wisely listened! We’ve since been to the place she suggested for morning coffee and arrived early enough to beat the crowd at her lunch spot. We plan to check out more recommended spots before we leave Florence. It was truly a joy spending the time with Eden, and expect people will love this tour with Eden if they like good food, have a curiosity about new places, and like being around a marvelous and easygoing person!"

"Our tour of the Milan Cathedral with Caterina was absolutely incredible. We thought we were just getting a normal tour… instead we got history, comedy, architecture, drama, and about 400 years of gossip all rolled into one. Caterina brought the cathedral to life in a way that made us feel like we were starring in our own Italian documentary. Every statue had a story, every detail had meaning, and somehow she made centuries-old marble feel more exciting than Netflix. Her energy was amazing, her knowledge was next level, and she kept us laughing the entire time. At one point we were so locked into the stories we forgot we were standing inside one of the most famous cathedrals in the world. You can tell she genuinely loves Milan and loves sharing it with people. If you’re visiting the cathedral and don’t tour it with Caterina, you’re basically watching the movie without sound. Absolute legend."
