"My husband and I toured Siena with Stella. We met Stella at a cathedral that is associated with Saint Catharina. We were struck by her passion for sharing her love and knowledge with us. As we toured her home town, she was often greeted on the street by friends. Inside this active church, we learned about the history of the Saint and her relics there. And we also learned about the historical neighborhoods which have kept up a strong identity over centuries. We got an insider look at many major businesses that have direct ties with a multi-layered past. We met small business owners and artists and heard some remarkable stories about archaeological discoveries going back to Etruscan times and new paintings being created using the same methods as in Byzantine art. We encourage others to sign up and experience this adventure themselves. We finished up with a tour of Siena's astounding Duomo and learned about Palio, Siena's unique version of horse racing. So worth it!"
