"What an unforgettable day! Thien curated an incredibly engaging and authentic tour of the Mekong river, away from tourist traps and crowds and deep into local villages, experiences and culture. We saw bricks being baked, cooked rice paper pancakes, helped weave a mat, tried snake wine and at every step felt like we were making a genuine connection with the river and its people. In many of these instances we were the only "group" there helping make the experience feel deeply personal. Throughout, Thien - and her perfect English - provided us with real and unvarnished commentary on the history of and life in VietNam. "We were on a cruise ship and arrived at the port 90mins away. We arranged a driver however Thien now has this driver contact and I would highly recommend her choice. She took us on a tour of the coffee shop, local markets, eating our way through as we went. There was something for everyone and it was amazingly peaceful and authentic. Thien was considerate yet informative. We were with my 6 and 1 year old children and she catered to their needs so well. "Spring was a fantastic guide and met our expectations perfectly. She was well organised throughout, from planning the meet up to getting us safely into a taxi to get back to our ship, making sure we understood how everything worked. She double checked our dietary allergies and likes/dislikes at the beginning of the tour, so we felt confident that there'd be no nasty surprises. Throughout the tour, Spring gave us useful information about the city, language and customs, as well as the food she introduced us to. We really felt she'd given us the knowledge and confidence to move away from the 'safe', predictable tourist eateries and look for the where the locals eat. We walked through the little alleyways, which was so interesting to see how people in Ho Chi Minh lived and ate at an array of restaurants, cafes and street stalls along the way. We loved trying a variety of exotic fruit at a market stall, many of which we'd never seen before. There were some delicious noodle dishes and amazing coffees but our favourite was the banana fritters from a family street stall. It's impossible to describe just how good the food was! Spring is friendly, considerate and so good at what she does that we would definitely ask her for another tour and recommend her to anyone wanting to experience the flavours of Ho Chi Minh. A truly memorable trip! "
