"We had a great experience walking with Ana. We were three adults newly arrived in Florence. We had booked the tour from home. Communications with Ana before meeting were excellent, both in greeting and for arrangements to meet on the day. We met at a café/bar on the Duomo piazza. Ana was charming and most welcoming. After introductions we had coffee and learnt from Ana some of the customs around bars and coffee, most helpful for the rest of the week (we have toured in Italy before but it turned out that there was much we did not know!). Ana then took us walking, mentioning, explaining, informing and advising as we went, collecting useful recommendations on where we might eat during the week. We visited some points off the tourist trails with interesting stories. Ana was thoroughly engaging. We had stops for coffee and wine. A particular memory will be cheese and cold meat tasting at a delightful small, old-established delicatessen, finishing at a favourite gelateria. Quite deliberately we took our tour on the first evening of our visit to Florence and appreciated the suggestions and advice for further visits during the week of our stay. Ana was thoroughly good company. We came away delighted with the experience. We will be very happy to use ‘With Locals’ again on future city holidays. "

"We were incredibly lucky to meet Fabio during our visit to Florence! He took us around the area in his very comfortable van, showing to us the beauty of the countryside of Florence, amazing towns of San Gimignano, Certaldo. Then we had a fantastic lunch, amazing food with great wine, the lunch worth traveling to Florence alone! During the tour Fabio was telling us the stories about life in this area covering the historical part, everything was fascinating and greatly enjoyable! "Our tour with Laura was all we could ask for. It was informative and interesting and gave us an insight into the sense of florentine humour. "We had the most lovely tour with Alessandra— you should absolutely book with her! She is a warm and knowledgeable host who knows all the ins and outs of Florence. She joined my family of two parents and two teenage girls and took us into an area I would not have found. It was like seeing all of the local spots buried in a touristy area - beautiful! We loved visiting a few old churches (with incredible frescoes and histories to enjoy), and squares, and got to take in a beautiful view, as well as some modern art. After learning that we are avid readers, she found a lovely bookshop/cafe for us to relax and cool down with a coffee and snack - we were the only Americans there, which I can’t say about anywhere else we have visited! She also found us some tickets to a classical music concert for that evening, AND dropped us off at a wonderful trattoria (again- local!) for lunch. She really tailored the day to what we wanted. We learned so much and enjoyed the pleasure of Alessandra’s good company the entire time. Have a wonderful time on your tour with Alessandra!"
