"We are a family of 4, including twin 10 year old girls, from Texas USA. We had an excellent tour with Maja! My husband and I were very interested in learning about the history of Venice and the Medici family, and she gave us a great tour of the Medici chapel which we really enjoyed. We learned so much more about what we were seeing than we ever would of on our own. Then, we walked around the city to the Piazza Della Signoria and Maja pointed out so many interesting things that we would have missed on our own. She was also so good with my kids and included fun kid elements like stopping at a fountain to rest and play and visiting the "little pig." At the little pig, my girls rubbed a coin on the pig's nose and dropped it in to bring good luck and another visit to Florence. They loved it! Florence is like an open air museum, and it is like a walk through history. A private guide is so worth it in my opinion. I highly recommend Maja. Grazie! "

"We were so fortunate to have met Omar in Milan so when we saw that he also guided tours in Florence, we immediately booked his neighborhood tour. This tour was special! We were able to see where he grew up and feel his connection and pride for his neighborhood. Of course it does not hurt that Santa Croce was basically a block away and that several of the restaurants and food vendors are constantly featured on travel shows but he also impressed on us that when he was growing up, the area was not so glamorous and that the people living there were working class and throughout the years were the backbone of the city. Fast forward to today, this area has the best markets, historic residences and specialty stores all within these few blocks and best of all, not overrun by tourists so you really can enjoy the flavor of Florence and its people."

"What a fantastic day we had with Fabio! If you are questioning whether you should do this or not…please just do it. My family of 4 was picked up right at the door of our Air BnB in the middle of Florence. Taken straight to his comfortable and spotless spacious van (plenty of space for 6-7 people) and taken out of the city for the day. Fabio is a laidback, safe driver and a wonderful historian and resource for all things Florence and Tuscany. He created a day that brought us to a beautiful winery with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Had an amazing experience there with a tour, tasting, lunch and conversation. Then off to San Gimignano for a stroll on our own in the medieval town with plenty to see and enjoy there as well. We met up at the time and place we had been instructed to and leisurely taken back into the city with a whole new perspective on the region and Florence. Being with Fabio was like being around an old friend that you hadn’t seen in years. It was a great day! He will help make your day uniquely yours…just ask! "

"During our stay in Florence, we arranged two separate days to explore Tuscany with Fabio - one to Siena and another to San Gimignano. Fabio was very active with us in advance to plan and customize these two tours to make the unique and special. He picked us up at our hotel in a very nice, spacious vehicle each day and conversed with us about not only our specific destinations, but also the history and culture of Tuscany. After visiting San Gimignano, we finished our Tuscany experience with a lovely lunch and wine tasting that he arranged for us at a local vineyard. "
