  Enjoy the views from the sacred Mount Batur

  Discover one of the most amazing places in Bali with your local host! You can’t miss the Kitamani region, located at around 31 miles from Denpasar! The land holds a mountain area, the second most sacred active volcano in the island, called Mount Batur and a gorgeous large lake. The views there are the main reason for which it’s the most popular tourist destination in the island.

  Go there with your private guide, who can show you the best locations for panoramic sights. One of the most awesome & romantic things to do there is enjoying the stunning sunrise at the vulcano, especially if you’re traveling as a couple. The area is also known as a great producer for plants. You can actually find the biggest bamboo producer in Bali in its northern part. Enjoy your trip!

  Food in Bali is something you have to try out! Enjoy the local taste and learn a few things about how to make your own Balinese meal at a fun traditional cooking class! Just so you get an idea of what types of dishes you might be preparing think of things called "Betutu", "Satay", "Lawar", or "Sambal".

  You are surely looking for fun and active things to do in Bali! Well, the island is THE place to surf! Kuta Beach, one of the most popular ones, is suitable for beginners, so if you’ve never surfed before that is the place to start. Go for a private lesson with a local instructor, which will be totally personalized on your own needs. Your private instructor can teach you all the basics of surfing in about 2 hours and a half. You can also visit different beaches with your host if you wish to, like the ones for more advanced surfers. Some of them are: Nyang Nyang Beach, the Dreamland beach or the Padang Padang.

  Try kitesurfing if you are more adventurous and already have a bit of experience with surfing! It’s a bit more challenging than the first one, but super exciting! Have fun and let the wind guide you!

  Visit the active Ubud area & it’s monkey forest

  Add the awesome Ubud as a stop on your things to do in Bali list! The area has many wonders & cool places, which you shouldn’t miss! Your host will bring you to some gorgeous nature sights, like the rice terraces and the monkey forest. Meeting the monkeys is super fun, but do be careful, they like stealing food, so be prepared for some sneaky ones. The spot is also popular for the famous luwak coffee, known as the best coffee in the world. We’re not gonna tell what it’s made from, so you’ll be surprised there.

  Let your private guide take you to the the art market in the same area, called Pasar Seni Ubud. You can find there clothes, kites, accessories and other locally handmade beautiful merchandises. Your host will help you negotiate the prices and find the best products out there!

  Don’t miss the magic burial of Trunyan

  Visiting the cemetery of Trunyan is one of the most interesting and culturally enriching things to do in Bali, or even Indonesia. The burial place belongs to the Trunyan village, where the locals call themselves “tree people”, because of their traditions regarding the passing of a loved one. Your host will share with you all the stories regarding this unique village and it’s history.

  Trunyan people use an ancient magical funeral method, which they have preserved for centuries. They do not bury the passing ones, but instead they lay down the bodies on the ground and cover them with woven bamboo. It is said that the magical Taru Menyan tree absorbs the smell and that is why the area doesn’t have the smell bad. It’s the kind of place that you need to see to believe it exists!

  See the Uluwatu sea temple and enjoy the sunset dance show

  The stunning cliff side temple is one of the places we love in Bali! Both the architecture of the temple and the sunset views will amaze you. Go there with a pre booked private guide, so you won’t get hassled by the ones standing there. Your host will give you many insights and make sure you have a totally personalized experience with them. Don’t forget to dress appropriately for the temple visit, you should wear something that covers most of your body, or at least your legs, you might also be required to wear a sarong and a sash.

  Something that you also shouldn’t miss is the evening kecak dance, that starts at about 6:00 pm and it gives a small insight on the local culture.

  Relax at the beach and have fun with scuba diving and snorkeling

  You’ll be on an island which is very well known for its beaches, so you must take some time to relax on a few of them. And since we are talking about relaxation and dreamy days, you should definitely try out snorkeling or scuba diving with a private instructor. Both of them are extra fun and you’ll get to see the wonders that the water has to offer you.

  Go to the Turtle island and have fun swimming alongside the sea creatures while enjoying the beautiful sights of the corals. Your instructor will show you every place you need to go to and he will walk alongside you on the island for the discovery of the stunning nature views.

  You’ll get to meet a few Indonesian farmers and find out tons about cultural habits and customs. You’ll also hear about daily offerings and other spiritual traditions. End your day with an authentic meal and nice conversations!

  See the stunning waterfalls

  Whether you decide to go for the popular waterfalls or the more hidden ones, the activity itself is a must! There are 7 waterfalls in Sekumpul and viewing the entire area takes about one day, so you should plan this ahead. Most of the popular waterfalls are located in the northern part of the island, so this is why the trip takes as long as a full day.

  A great idea is to also visit the more unknown waterfalls, together with a local guide, especially if you like a more unique, quiet experience. Some of the more hidden ones are actually quite close to the other touristic places in Bali, so the trip won’t be as long as for the popular ones.
