"I had a lovely time with Laura. I landed at 7:00 a.m. in Scotland and our tour began at 10:30. A.m. As this was the last minute trip, I had not done much research on any particular sites or interest they had. I did tell her I enjoyed learning about the local history, culture, and HP as I knew this was a Harry Potter inspiration site and I had grown up on the books of Harry Potter, the original generation I might add. She volunteers at Greyfriars Kirk as well as a lover of History so she is a vast wealth of knowledge and provided the finer details of some of the sites that I would have otherwise missed. She gave some great recommendations along the way as well. And in general just gave me a good orientation to Edinburgh and enriched it with local history. I would highly recommend choosing Laura."

"Despite the rain (after all it is Edinburgh), Alec showed us interesting historical sites and bought us lovely treats. I even ate haggis, even though I never thought I would. It was delicious! I especially appreciated how Alec tailored the tour to our interests. For example, he took us to the University of Edinburgh because I told him I had a special interest in colleges. "My son & I very enjoyed our tour with Chris. We had just arrived in Edinburgh and met up with him at a spot along the Royal Mile. We chatted a bit about special needs (one of us has a food allergy and the other one is a bit slow moving). Chris was able to adjust the tour to fit our needs. Never having been to Scotland or partaken in traditional Scottish food & drink- we very much enjoyed the whole experience. "Alice was able to provide a well-paced guide to the Edinburgh castle (and an extended tour of the Royal Mile). Her story telling skills were exceptional. The history and fun facts came alive with her stories and even we, by the end of tour, were starting to get the timeline sorted of some of the most important Scottish events and people. We were thankful for her tweaking of timings to different parts of the Castle to maximize warmth and dryness on a very wet Scottish day so that we could really concentrate on what was being said and in front of us.
