"I’d thoroughly recommend Igor as your guide to Lisbon. In particular, a first day tour from Igor with all his local and cultural knowledge is the perfect set up to a few days of further exploring. Igor is very friendly and it was a pleasure to spend a morning with him. Don’t forget to ask him for his restaurant recommendations!!
Obrigado Igor!"
"Don't waste your time looking for anyone else. Angelo's tour was perfect. He prefers to think of it as a conversation among friends, strolling through the city, and enjoying authentic local food and drink along the way. He is very agreeable to adjusting the tour according to your preferences. When it comes time to say goodbye and end the tour, you feel like you are saying goodbye to an old friend. Highly recommend. Book him without hesitation. "

Absolutely fabulous tour by Sylvain!
"We were lucky enough to choose Sylvain for a guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable with not only food and the foods of Lisbon but the history of Lisbon as well. He chose the highest quality of establishments to bring us to. He knew we were very interested in wines and he made that a priority. His love for wine and food really made this tour the best tour we have ever had and we have taken many around the world. I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you Sylvain! "
"Antonio took my wife and I on a walking tour of Lisbon. He personalized it perfectly so there was no overlap with what we had already seen. Although the weather was rainy, Antonio took us to see both highlights and hidden sites (make sure he takes you to the church that is plain outside and irnate inside...a true hidden gem!) and never wavered. He made sure we went inside different places as well as seeing key sites and statutes while explaining the history. We had a great time and learned a lot. Antonio did a great job!"
"We took a food tour with Silvia in January 2025. She did a fantastic tour of showing us the highlights of Portuegese and Lisbon food. It also included a tour of some of the key neighborhoods. Lisbon is hilly and Silvia knew all the tricks about getting around by elevators throughout the city! The food tastings were spot on and delicious. She was very patient with us and took her time explaining the foods and how they were made. Silvia has a delightful personality...my wife and I felt like family. This was a private tour using WithLocals and highly recommend the site and Silvia!"
"We loved our evening with Antonio! We met in a great location with a beautiful view and then explored a few neighborhoods while he explained a bit of the history and culture. Each stop was completely unique from each other and all of the food options were amazing! We were full at the end! There isn’t anything we would have changed and being with Antonio made it feel as if we were out with a friend! A definite highlight of our trip to Lisbon. "

Very Capable and Charming Guide
"Amanda was great and especially helpful with my 11 year old son explaining all plus just being a nice person with him and me. Thanks again Amanda!!"
"Jorge’s storytelling about Lisbon’s layered history was engaging and informative. We learned a lot about the complexity of the politics and culture of Lisboa and gave us a great sense of grounding. Jorge was kind, had a good sense of humor and was generous with his time. He showed us secret shortcuts to avoid some hill walking too! We had a great day and would recommend him for anyone looking to learn about the history, architecture, culture, language, Portuguese made products and more! "
"We hugely enjoyed all aspects of the tour - great great local and historic knowledge plus a lovely sense of humour. It was both fascinating and great fun. First class and Brilliant 👏👏👏"
"We booked a tour with Angelo but it was at extremely short notice and with food restrictions which Angelo could not accommodate.
At Angelo's request, in stepped Lucia! We were extremely fortunate for Luci to be able to accommodate us.
She met us promptly and was very fluent in English. She took us to restaurants that we may never have tried on our own- we tried grilled Sardines and cod fish cutlets- the top staples and then took us walking through Alfama, Chiada and Bario alto (hope I spelled them right) pointing out historical sites and their histories. We tried some juices as we do not do alcohol. We tasted the famous pastels de Belem and then tried some other savory crepes.
The tour lasted around 3.5 hours and we were very pleased with Lucia.
This tour was enjoyable for its exposure to the local culture, food and punctuated with Lucia's commentary on the current state of Portuguese society and its promises for the future.
Would recommend without reservation!
Tips:
1. Book early and have more options especially with dietary restrictions.
2. People who drink alcohol and are comfortable with pork/ham products may find this tour more value for money than those who don't.
3. Lucia is awesome!:))"
