Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"Such a fun day with Lili! We crossed so many things off our list — both food and sightseeing. Lily walked us through the history of Lisbon, how the earthquake reshaped its architecture, and how different neighborhoods developed their own character. By the end we felt like we genuinely understood the “why” behind what we were seeing. We stopped for some wonderful bites along the way, ended with a fun traditional lunch, and she sent us off with a list of fantastic recommendations for both Lisbon and beyond. If you want a guide who makes a city’s history feel alive, book Lili!"
"We had a great time with Sylvain! He was super knowledgable about Lisbon and the food and wine we ate! Everything was so delicious and hanging out with Sylvain was a great way to start out our trip to Portugal!"
"Had a fantastic evening. Isabel took me on a culinary journey with typical dishes from different regions of Portugal, which she prepared freestyle. In addition to being a outstanding cook, Isabel is also a super host. Enjoyed the evening so much an can only recommend"
"Isabel kindly hosted a large family group (10 people, ages 15-80), and we had a wonderful time. The table was beautifully set for us, and we enjoyed a large array of salads and starters to begin the meal along with a delicious white wine. The next course was a baked fish (hake in cream sauce topped with mashed potatoes), followed by a delicious pork dish from Isabel's home region in southern Portugal, and enjoyed with a delightful red wine. Although we were stuffed, we managed to enjoy the sweets to end the meal, pasteis de nata. Isabel was a warm and witty hostess."
"Sonia made our tour so special. She took time to plan out where we visited and what we ate based on my input. My husband and I were looking for something different than other tours. We are foodies and love to learn about cultures through food. Sonia is a wealth of knowledge, has a deep love for Portuguese food and made our tour easy and fun. We would highly recommend Sonia to anyone looking for a more personalized, unique and warm experience. "
"Our food tour with Antonio was so much fun! We got to enjoy some really great local favorite dishes and spirits, and had a wonderful time exploring Lisbon at the same time! Thank you Antonio for making our time in Lisbon so much fun!!"
"Lili knows a lot about Portugal and Lisbon history and shares it in a very interesting and casual way. We had a lovely day learning lots about Portugal all while tasting some delicious food in authentic Lisbon places. "
"We had an amazing afternoon with Sylvain. Loved hearing the history of Lisbon and learning of all the cultural nuances. The food stops were perfection. From the wine, cheese and ham at the first stop, to the Anthony Bourdain-endorsed beef sandwich, to the famous pastel de nata, to the walk through Chiado to explore ports, Madeiras and additional sweet treats, to the final taste of ginjinha, there was no better way to start our visit to Lisbon. Thanks, Sylvain, for making our day so special!"
"Sonia was a delight to spend time with. We presented her with a few challenges that could have made a food tour difficult—picky kids and dietary restrictions—but she thoughtfully customized the experience to meet everyone’s needs. The tour was a wonderful final glimpse of Lisbon before we left. My kids appreciated how approachable and relaxed she was, and my wife and I enjoyed getting to know her while sampling some of Lisbon’s signature culinary experiences and learning more about the city’s food culture. We only spent a short time with Sonia, but she made a lasting impression. The next time we’re in Lisbon, we’ll definitely be booking a longer tour with her."
"After lots of rescheduling due to the big holiday in Lisbon, we were able to spend 3 super fun, delicious and educational hours with Camila. We tried all the local foods including octopus, grilled sardines, local cheeses- all with the perfect wines to match. Camila provided interesting history on the foods and city, and she had a great sense of humor. Highly recommend. "
