She took us to places we would have been too timid to go ourselves - we wouldn't have known what to order, and we don't speak Spanish. All the food we tried was delicious, and it was a lovely private tour with just the 2 of us and Sofia. It felt like a combination walking + food tour. Our first stop was Monte Albán. Tanivet’s deep knowledge and fascinating stories made for a far richer experience than if we had visited on our own. Afterward, we visited the town of Arrazola, where we met the talented artisans behind the beautiful alebrijes. At our request, Tanivet took us to a wonderful family-owned restaurant for lunch. The spread of traditional dishes—including moles, memelas, sopas, postres and fresh tortillas—was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint! Our tour concluded at a mezcal distillery, which was the perfect way to end the day. Tanivet took such great care of us throughout the entire trip. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Oaxaca! "
