"Sometimes you do a Withlocals tour with a guide who you know, you’ll always remember. That guide becomes one of the best parts of your trip! Remy was this person and more! I adore seeing Street Art around the world and always hope a tour will give me some very unique insights into the pieces, place, artists, their beliefs. This tour did not disappoint! Remy is a very gifted man, artistic, passionate & patient. He took care to explain everything to us- he never rushed and actually went over time, making sure we understood everything we needed to. He is Penang, born and bred. He knows and he cares. We loved our day so much we ate dinner that night at his restaurant @ De- Brick in Georgetown. Lucky enough to meet his lovely wife - such a great team. Definitely a must to finish your perfect Penang Day!! Thank you both for everything- we’ll be back! "

"Spent a very enjoyable morning with Virginia exploring Penang. She picked us up at our hotel was there early, and showed us some of the key sights. She took us to some local markets , places we would never have found. She knew everyone there and it felt very welcoming. We stopped for coffee and cake an opportunity to try food that we would never normally do. She was knowledgeable about local history and customs which really helped our understanding of the city and its customs . All in all a great tour and money well spent. Thank you Virginia!"

"Deffrey is a brilliant guide, we had previously been to Penang, so had already seen some of the highlights, Deffrey was so flexible and accommodating, it also rained (extreme) so he rescheduled to get us to an indoor venue out of the worst of the weather, and waited until the cloud lifted so we got the view from Penang Hill. Lunch was fabulous, at a restaurant we probably would have overlooked. I would highly recommend Deffrey, and would definitely choose him as a guide if we return to Penang. Thank you Deffrey 😊 "

"I watched a few youtube videos on best places to eat and it was confusing so I googled food tour and Sam stood out to me as the right person for my husband, adult daughter and myself. I was correct, Sam was a wealth of knowledge, born in Penang of Chinese descent. The foods we tasted were some of those I saw on You Tube so I was super happy to have tasted them. Remy explained the city's historical buildings to us in a very friendly and open manner. He has a lot of knowledge and a great passion for talking about his country and its history.
