Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"Nico was a great guide that spoke good english and knew his city and history. It was really interesting to listen and ask questions. Only one thing that maybe we missed and was our mistake was that we tried several desserts, and that was not something that any of us was interested in. Recommending Nico"
"Francesca was a great guide and very knowledgeable. The food tastings were very generous and varied"
"Paola was friendly, organized and well versed on the places and foods she shared with us on the tour! We tasted everything from pizza bianca to sheep’s milk riccotta to suppli to cannolis. We also tried pork panchetta, pasta with shrimp, brioche with whip cream and Italian ham. Along the way Paola had us popping into courtyards and down some off the beaten path back streets to see special treasures of Rome. We walked from Central Rome to Trastevere and finished in the Jewish Quarters. Excellent tour and well worth the price! Come hungry! "
"Matteo is very passionate about what he does and also authentic. He has a great nose for authentic and hidden gems in Rome. Also great with kids and fun to spend time with him! "
"Our group had a lovely time on the foodie tour with Claudia! Would rebook :) "
"One of the highlights of our trip to Italy was this food tour in Rome. We tried so many local foods we never would have ordered on our own, and it completely changed how we approached eating for the rest of the trip. Every stop introduced us to something new, from small neighborhood specialties to some of the best bites we had in all of Italy. The guide made the experience feel authentic and personal, explaining the history behind the dishes and taking us to places we absolutely would have walked past otherwise. We left excited to keep trying regional foods throughout our travels, and it gave us much more confidence to step outside our comfort zone when ordering. Looking back, several foods we discovered on this tour ended up being favorites of the entire trip. We’d highly recommend doing a food tour early in your Italy vacation because it helps you learn what to look for, what to order, and gives you a much deeper appreciation for Italian food culture from the start."
"Carlo knew his history, food and wine. We had a great time with this food tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the areas we walked through to try great treats of Rome!"
"We loved every minute of our tour with Federica. She is such a warm, friendly person and is full of local knowledge. She was amazing with our 19 month old bambina, so much so it was like a date afternoon for us! If coming to Rome, make sure you book a tour with Federica. "
"Three of us totally enjoyed two delightful hours with Manuela who shared “inside” info on a variety of foods of the area."
"We loved this tour. It was memorable not just for the wonderful food, but the experience of exploring new streets and the great conversation. It was a wonderful way to learn more about the daily life of a local and get insight into the stories behind the Roman cuisine."
