"We went with Thomas to beautiful cape Sounio but the trip was so much more than just a visit to the Temple of Poseidon. Thomas spoke English perfectly and was able to impart history along the way. He took us to some idyllic swimming spots known only to locals to see beautiful coves and a shrine to St Nicolas. We could have gone swimming in these lovely spots if we had wanted. We ate lunch at a restaurant overlooking the ancient temple and Thomas stopped at his favorite pastry shop to buy us some authentic Greek pastries. We’re so glad we had the chance to see these sights with someone who grew up here and who knows it well. "

"We spent a day with Ioannis on the Cape Sounio & Temple of Poseidon Private Day Trip. What a treat! After picking us up at our hotel, Ioannis took us on a very scenic drive along the Greek coast to Cape Sunnio. The experience at the ruins of the Temple of Poseidon could not have been any different than the chaotic one we had the day before at the Acropolis. The Temple of Poseidon was just as spectacular in its own way, but without the crowds. But be prepared for the wind. It was fierce the day we went. Following our visit to the temple, Ioannis took us to a nearby village where we had a leisurely lunch and even dipped our toes in the Aegean Sea! We had a great time sitting and visiting with Ioannis. His knowledge of local history is remarkable and he really makes it come to life. This was one of the very best tours we have taken in Europe and I thougt it was a great value. I cannot recommend Ioannis highly enough. A great tour. An even greater guide. "

We both found the silver mines fascinating and was a great surprise addition to our trip.
