"We had a great tour with Alex of the Acropolis and Acropolis museum. It’s a definite necessity to have a guide at these because you just can’t get a feel for what you’re seeing otherwise. Alex was great with our group that included a 4 year old and made It fun for all. We learned so much and loved how he incorporated his own materials about how things used to look as well as the Greek mythology connected to what we were seeing and what life was like back then.
Highly recommend Alex for these private tours. Be sure to get your tickets for both of these venues in advance. Thanks for a great experience!"

A Thorough, Thoughtful and Funny Guide
"Our family really enjoyed the time we spent with Dionysis. He went out of his way to show us all around Athens, answering all of our questions and giving us so much food for thought. He was incredibly knowledgeable, in fact, the only question he couldn’t answer was about tree identification- understandable as it’s not his expertise!
We ended the tour with a sunset view of the Acropolis, and a recommendation for a restaurant that blew us away with good food and hospitality. I’d recommend a tour with Dionysis to anyone who values history and has a curious mind! "

Very informative and flexible!
"We booked our tour with Dionysis and very much appreciated his flexibility in adjusting the schedule once we had some conflicting opportunities for our last day in Athens! He has a wide range of knowledge on history, culture and anthropology, and we especially appreciated the dive into Greek mythology! Our only suggestion would be to stick to 3 hours maximum as we got to a point of feeling a but overwhelmed with all the information. And while adding lunch is a nice touch, it added a lot of time and took us into an area of Athens that we were less interested in. We would have wanted an option to just peel off and head back to our neighborhood for lunch. But thanks so much for a great educational and interesting experience!"
