"It was a little surprising to travel half way around the world and find a kindred spirit, but I think that is one of John’s gifts. He knows how to connect with people and then use that connection to share his vast knowledge of all things Greek including mythology, history, culture and cuisine. He guided us for two days and we learned so much, but more importantly we experienced Athens on another level. He took us to places we would have never found on our own and even if we did we would not have access. My daughters are particularly interested in mythology and he made learning come to life. "Eleni lead my family, including 2 18 year olds and 2 16 year olds to see important and interesting places in the areas around the Acropolis and the plaka. She was knowledgeable and interesting and kept the whole group listening and going even after a very long day. At the end, she found us a couple of restaurants that might work and we ended our evening with a great dinner. I highly recommend touring with Eleni. Additionally, she is very flexible!"
