Istanbul is an amazing city with an incredible history, great sights and good food, but that's not all!
Istanbul has little known villages with beautiful landscapes and local life. With a 27 years of experience as a photojournalist and a local, I know the best places to go and take pictures, so join me for a day photography trip & workshop to the fishing villages at the extreme north of the city.
In this trip you'll discover a well kept secret of Istanbul while you learn how to take better pictures and use your camera gear effectively.
I'll meet you at your hotel in the center and we'll drive through Belgrade forests, largest in Istanbul with beautiful views of the Bosphorus along the way. It may take 1 hour -or more to get to our first stop by car depending on the traffic.
We plan to discover 2 of these beautiful fishing villages with our cameras: We'll visit the local men's cafe, meet the sailors, as well as capture some landscapes with fishing boats & nets, lighthouse, the village itself and the Black Sea... It's also said that the sirens of Greek mythology who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast are situated here and I'm going to show them to you as well.
On sunny weekends there are more visitors who come here from Istanbul to spend a pleasant day in the open air, that creates more opportunities for photography. It wouldn't be a surprise to see wedding couples here on weekends.

I'll pick you up from your hotel as long as it's in the city centre, otherwise we'll decide to a meeting point in the centerScenic ride
