Uncover the best of Yehliu Geopark the local Way

"June is a hot time of year to visit Taiwan and the Yehliu Geopark is sun-baked and HOT. Be sure to carry an umbrella, not for rain but for shade. I asked Jessica to be sure to include hiking in our tour. She did. We had a great adventure and saw more of the geopark than most visitors, hiking out to the light house. Then by our request, she extended our tour by visiting Shifen old street and its waterfall. A great day and back in our hotel to nap before going out to the Huaxi night market. A bonus, Jessica was interesting to talk to about life in Taiwan. As valuable as seeing the sights and a big reason for my high rating."

"The trip to Yehliu Geopark with AK was one of the highlight of my Taiwan trip. It rained the whole day, but AK’s company more than made up for the weather! I would not have been able to explore another side of Yehliu that only the locals know of if not for AK. The trip was more an outing with an old friend; right from the beginning it was so easy to talk & share interesting stories on travel & life with AK. We have more than a few things in common since we both grew up in Singapore and it was good to share stories with someone who could relate to a Singaporean’s perspective. His passion for travelling is evident from the stories as well as the numerous recommendations that he shared with me. We ended the day with AK going out of his way to drop me off at an area that he had recommended even though it was not part of the plan. Needless to say I had a great day all thanks to AK."

"We booked a trip : Yehliu Geopark & Small Town Escape Day Tour on 04 Jan 19 morning. Jessica took the initiative to confirm with us the trip 1 day before, and offered to pick us up from our hotel instead of meeting up at the pick up point, Taipei Main Station. This saves us a lot of trouble. She is familiar with the park, so able to put across a clear explanation on the history and focus on some unique views to capture. She is patient, entertaining, obliging and cheerful. She knows we like taking many pictures , so, she always offered to take for us, which we greatly appreciate. And, yes, she can take really good pictures. As for the small town escape session, it is abit too short, a temple with an old street. Probably, it maybe because is really nothing much to see in the small town. However, she managed to make it enjoyable by recommending us some unique snacks like the steamed Yam pastry & the Sweet Potato and Yam crisps. We greatly appreciate her effort to make this outing as enjoyable as possible and glad that we engaged her as our guide. We certainly will recommend her to any of our friends who visiting Taiwan and we are also going to engage her for our next Taiwan trip. "
