"I was so pleased with my tour with Garen! Actually - two of them! The first was a 3 hour food tour which was informative, diverse and fun. Garen is welcomed everywhere she goes and her explanation of the cultural influences on each selection ( total 8-10) and the origin and preparation of each tasting was so interesting. Even had a lesson on how to order in Chinese restaurant when you don’t speak Chinese. The second tour was a 5 hour historical tour. Again, Garen showed an excellent sensitivity and insight into the history of Taipei: cultural, historical and religious and how they are combined. Garen invited and could answer any question at all.
