"We came to this evening tour with varying levels of knowledge of Taiwanese history and culture. Our wonderful guide Garen helped us level set, first providing a general history of the country, city and the neighborhood we were in. We got to visit the temple around which the night market grew, then plunged into the market itself. Garen showed us the ropes and helped us find what we were interested in and some surprises too!
