We learned about Polish food (and vodka) traditions, but what we loved perhaps more was understanding the historical context and influences shaping Poland's culinary landscape. Marek has an impressive knowledge of Poland's development as a nation and he shared stories and answered our questions along our tour. Marek is engaging and it is obvious that he is passionate about Poland and desires to tell the layered and complicated history of the country. I'd book Marek again in a heartbeat. "

He provided history of the region and his personal perspective of the city as we walked through Gdańsk to the restaurants and breweries. The food was plentiful and very tasty! "Marek could not have planned a better day for us! He’s so friendly, and truly born and raised there in Gdansk. Plus, he studied history and architecture, so he was such an encyclopedia of knowledge. And he gave us more than just the usual historical facts, he gave us history into the culture and people, things I don’t think you’d get in a standard tour. And our food stops were so delicious! He told us the history of the dishes and how his family would prepare them etc. It was truly THE PERFECT experience!"

"A fabulous food tour with excellent explanations of each dish, where it came from, etc. Marek went out of his way to show us nooks and crannies of the city we wouldn’t have known about on our own. He was excited to show us around and a delight to talk with. "

"Easy booking experience, good communication with details and contacts. Markek was unfortunately unwell on the day, however arranged a collegue Christoph to cover the tour. Christoph was excellent-very personable, good knowledge and friendly. Food experience was amazing - tried local dishes (zoup)drinks experience (inc: cherry liqueur and local vodka/beer). The places we visited and the food we had, we would not of tried had we not gone on the tour. Highly recommended."

"We had a really fantastic afternoon with Marek. He kindly put together a food and walking tour based on our requirements, and we were treated to the sights and flavours of gdansk. It is such a beautiful town! Marek is so knowledgeable about local history, and also recommended us places to go on other days (for food and cultural excursions). We are a group of 3 adults, and it was great to have a private tour with Marek. We can be a little unruly and probably demanding, and Marek dealt with us with humour and kindness. "My wife and I recently visited Gdansk. We set up a tour with Marek, but he unfortunately was not able to make it due to being ill. However, kudos to Marek, he set us up with a colleague Adam (also a licensed tour guide) and we had a most excellent walking, talking and eating tour. Adam was very knowledgeable of the town and pointed out various historical facts and interesting points in the city. We learned a lot. I actually heard something about the Teutonic Knights that I did not know. Then Adam brought us for a feast at a local, off the tourist trail, traditional Polish restaurant. It was delicious. The food was so good. My wife tried local vodka and we had perogies and other local specialties. And because it was the Feast of Corpus Christie on the day we were there we tried some pączek. Yum. We need to walk more after that. My wife and I were very happy with the tour and felt it was well worth it. Dziękuję bardzo za Twoją życzliwość i wspaniały czas w Gdańsku Adam!"

"Despite Marek getting sick the morning we were supposed to meet, he still made sure that our adventure went off without a hitch, and we had an amazing time! He demonstrated his honesty and commitment to us, and we couldn't be more thankful. Martyna was wonderful helping us at the lat minute, and every food choice was outstanding. This was a bucket-list item for my wife, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. You can definitely trust Marek to do the right thing!"
