The best food culture tour I've ever taken
"Raquel took me through the best food and culture tour in Oaxaca market I've ever experienced in any country! She's extremely knowledgeable, if you're not only after eating, but about understanding the local varieties of fruit, Mole sauces, drinks, chocolates - look no further. After these experiences we also sat at a restaurant and had a varied meal.
She's an extraordinarily warm and open person, and adapted spontaneously to my interests.

"We decided to organise this tour for our first evening in order to get to know the city and what it has to offer to make our stay more productive and enjoyable.
Raquel was excellent, friendly and engaging. We learnt so much in our 3 hours and tasted some excellent local specialities including a Mescal tasting .
Walking around the town Raquel was able to answer many of our questions and give us some great trips.
The bonus was as we were doing our own trip in the surroundings with a hire car she was anle to recommend a great place for lunch en route and a wonderful homemade ice cream spot by the El Tule the widest tree in the world and possible the oldest ! Can’t thank Raquel enough. "

"I'd give Sofia 10 stars if I could. My husband and I truly had an incredible time with her. She is friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about her beautiful city. She was flexible, gave us lots of options and recommendations suited for our preferences during the tour. We tasted some of the best food we both loved, and learned so much about Oaxaca's cuisine, tradition and culture. And she's an amazing photographer! The perfect tour!
"We had a great time with Carlos, he gave us so much background on the city and the culture and the food! He took us to lovely spots run by locals and everything was unbelievable. Some truly unique and special spots. Carlos made sure there were vegetarian options for those of us that had dietary restrictions. We had a really great time and Carlos even went above and beyond and gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip as well. One person in our group has family in Oaxaca and even she learned and tasted new things! Highly recommend!"

Fabulous Oaxacan Food Tour
"What a delightful and delicious first morning in Oaxaca. Carlos shared his passion for Oaxacan cuisine with our family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved the street tacos, small local market where we ate tamales, tlayudas and drank tajete. We sampled exotic local fruit, sweets and even purchased mole to take home. We finished the tour with full tummies and lots of stories and knowledge about Oaxacan cuisine. It was perfect for us and our boys (12 and 10), the youngest who’s a little picky tried so many new flavours under Carlos gentle encouragement. We highly recommend Carlos and this tour!"
