Reviews from guests about our tours and locals
"Isadora was great! We met her in the morning at a park in downtown Guanajuato. From there she took us around to some whole-in-the-wall restaurants and street vendors. Places we would have never gone without her as a guide. So glad we did the food was delicious, accept for the menudo, not a big fan but it was good to try. You have to pace yourself, 10 food stops are a lot of food! With her being a chef she knew the food, as a native of Guanajuato she knew the town like the back of her hand. What I really appreciated about her is she catered the adventure to what we wanted to do, even took us to a museum. Highly recommend! "
"Isador’s tour was not only full of delicious and traditional foods, it was a great experience made better by her local knowledge. We do food tours in nearly every city we visit and this one is not to be missed. She is a local chef and teaches traditional cooking so she knows where to get the best examples of great food. Come HUNGRY because to offerings are plentiful. I can’t overstate what a great value this tour is. Don’t miss out!"
"Isadora introduced our group to interesting, delicious and a fun foods that helped us feel so much a part of Guanajuato. She spent time with us beyond our expectations and helped us discover hidden corners of this fascinating and diverse city. We loved it."
"Isadora was so fun to tour Guanajuato with! She told us all of the legends and stories about the town and took us to so many neat places!"
"Isadora took us to the places she knew to be the best examples of traditional local foods. We saw places and tasted foods that we never would have found on our own. Truly a wonderful experience. Isadora is knowledgeable and fun, with an infectious smile. I would recommend her tour for anyone visiting Guanajuato!"
"My friend and I so enjoyed Isadora's wonderful tour of her vibrant city. We would have never discovered the spots she took us to on our own. It was a great way to learn about Guanajuato and the young people, hip people living their best lives there. We really had the best day/evening with Isadora! "
"Isadora is an incredibly knowledgeable of all the local food stops. As a chef she has an appreciation for high quality food. We had the best food with her. Ask her about how she can host you at her private kitchen and either do a cooking class or meal pairing with special cocktails or mezcals/tequilas! "
"Isadora led us on a wonderful tour of local food through guanajuato. She is a trained chef and a lover of food, and she was happy to share her passion with us. She introduced us to many unique offerings we would never have found on our own. "
"This was exactly the food tour we hoped for. We visited many small local vendors and enjoyed absolutely delicious birria, gorditas, carnitas, tamales and more! Isadora offered colorful history and details about the foods and beverages we enjoyed. Highly recommend."
"Isadora went above and beyond to curate a fascinating experience for us, giving us glimpses into the life of a Guanajuato local. We sampled various types of foods from street vendors, mercado stalls, hole-in-the-wall restaurants and old cantinas that we would have never thought to visit by ourselves. We visited a few different neighborhoods, walked through some of the tunnels, visited some local parks and generally had a really enjoyable time. The food was excellent and Isadora’s guidance was fun and educative. I would go back again in a heartbeat!"
