Sake and Kobe Beef: Is it worth it?
"Short answer: Yes! We’ve done a couple of „10 Tastings“ food tours in Japan and this is definitely different and special. Of course the tour is expensive but then so is high quality Kobe Beef. It’s not something you can do cheaply or if you do find a place selling inexpensive “Kobe beef” you’re probably being ripped off. We had a great afternoon with Peri who gave us great insights into the world of Sake and how it’s made, the background of what makes Kobe beef special and showed us around some fun parts of Kobe. Obviously the highlights were tasting the Sake and Kobe beef. It was also interesting getting to know a perspective on the expat experience from someone who’s moved to Japan and been here a couple of years. Would highly recommend the tour if you want to get to know real Kobe beef!"
