"A great tour courtesy of Valerio. Many guides introduce themselves and then it's off to reciting a script of facts. Valerio was nothing like that. He took the time to engage with each member of our group directly and, being a current resident of Murano, ensured we had a less touristic adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the different glass work techniques from independent female artisans. And that 12th century Byzantine church is a must see even for those who are not religious."

"We met Valerio at the Murano Faro lighthouse with three other friendly participants. He began by providing an engaging historical overview before guiding us to an exclusive display of glass art and impressive chandeliers, showcasing the potential beyond vases and cups. Highlights included visiting a the Wave glas factory to watch authentic production (not a staged demo), followed by a lovely lampworking demo + workshop with Monica that contrasted nicely with our own technique background. Valerio also arranged a stop at the Effetre Murano factory we really wanted to see since we used to source our lamp working rods there and was super helpful with logistics before the trip and tips afterward. An awesome, memorable experience—highly recommended."

"Maybe saying a tour was smashing is not the best way to start a review about a tour of the island world-famous for glass, but there you have it. This tour was a smash hit! Valerio's tour allowed us to see a non-touristy and more genuine side of Murano, including the history of the glass industry, including how Murano artisans continues to innovate in both design and manufacturing. A visit to a local artist's studio allowed us to see first-hand the skill and creativity. Valerio has a broad depth of knowledge and experience and we had a great tour!"
