"We had a fabulous day trip to Umbria with Mauro ....starting early at 7 was his great idea as less traffic and we explored the amazing “island” town of Civita before it was too warm. He suggested we sample the renowned locally made cosmetics from this stunning medieval village that use donkey milk and snail serum ...no joke....it was an hilarious shopping experience and nicole who made a purchase will let him know how it works :) Mauro gave us a good insight into the history of both Civita and our next stop, the beautiful town of Orvieto. He suggested a few places in the village for lunch and the pick Bartolomei served a delicious selection of local produce and vino Rosso:) Nothing better than having Mauro as our “chauffeur “ after a long lunch to deliver us safely back to Roma Mauro as our guide was the best choice ....personable , informative , engaging and a sense of humour too .....better than a bus trip with a mob any day. "It was truly a wonderful experience to go to Umbria and see an amazing world too different from Rome yet not far from it. Our guide Mauro made it even more worth it. He picked us up and all throughout the drive would explain a lot of things about the place. He’d even suggests what are the other places we can visit given a short time in Rome. Brought us to shops where we can get artisan products, unique finds perfect reminders of our trip to Umbria. And getting us to see an amazing landscape that really took our breath away. You need to prepare though for a long hike to get to Civita, but every step is worth it when you get on top. I highly recommend this place and getting Mauro to help you have an even more amazing time in Umbria with his kindness and knowledge of the place. It’s a place I will visit again for sure!! "

"What unique day out of Rome. If it weren't for Mauro we would have never checked these places out. Early start is a must. Mauro is so attentive, engaging, friendly and easy going. We talked about many things. He loved showing us the views and explaining things to us. The whole tour was amazing and a high light. "
