"After reading many reviews and tours of Pompei we opted for Roberto. We don’t like groups and enjoy having a personalised experience. Firstly we had a few glitches getting the tickets and Roberto responded quickly. We travelled via train from Sorrento and opted for a 9:30 tour which meant it was slightly cooler and the train less crowded. It was easy and cheap however the train was very busy upon our return. Roberto skilfully steered us around the huge site keeping us engaged with his vast knowledge and taking advantage of any shade available. It was a superb experience without it we would have had little idea of the stories behind the different remains . If you want a tour with an expert that will create a lasting memory then this is for you."
