"Our family of 6 took a day trip from Rome to Pompeii and hired Roberto as our guide. The whole experience was wonderful!! Roberto is an excellent communicator. He was available from the time we booked. He helped me navigate how to purchase train tickets, provided the link to purchase advance tickets for Pompeii, and even arranged for a private driver to pick us up from the train station. Our train was delayed an hour and both Roberto and our driver were very understanding and accommodating. The tour was fantastic. Walking through Pompeii with an archaeologist was an exceptional experience. Having worked on the site himself, he is a wealth of interesting information. I especially appreciated how patient and engaging he was with our 9 year old twin boys. I am sure we would not have had such a great experience in Pompeii without him. Everyone in our party agreed that Roberto made it a very special day!"

Roberto organized a driver to take us to the Amalfi coast for a couple of hours for lunch and then back to the train station to head back to Rome. "Roberto couldn't come but another archaeologist, Francesco, filled in. He was a few minutes early--like my friend and I were. He helped navigate us through the Napoli Centrale train station to the local that wisked us off to Pompeii. He was pleasant, friendly, helpful, and funny--and incredibly knowledgeable. We talked all the way to Pompeii about what we'd see, small talk to get to know each other, and gave some tips about how to handle the immense information and historic treasures that would overwhelm us there. You could spend a week looking at everything there and learning about time periods, building materials, it's founding--on and on. But when the trip came to an end Francisco offered some ideas to see if we wanted to hang out a little more, or to consider another time. We'll be back, and other sites he suggested in the region. It was great, hope to meet him and Roberto again."
