"Nous avions très peu de temps pour notre première visite de Rome. Trop peu pour tout voir. Et pourtant ce tour de la ville avec Emanuele nous a permis de voir et d'admirer les monuments et œuvres iconiques de la cité comme aurait pu le faire un voyageur étranger au 19ème siècle. Il a su nous guider à travers la ville, passionné et passionnant, toujours soucieux de nous garantir la meilleure expérience à notre propre rythme. La personnalisation du programme, l'accueil, la communication sont un plus tout comme le fait de venir nous chercher au pied de notre hôtel. Le service est poussé jusqu'à nous déposer à la porte du restaurant qu'il nous avait conseillé le midi, très belle découverte aussi. Ce tour était la première partie de la journée pour nous, la deuxième partie est à consulter sur notre prochain commentaire. Nous recommandons l'expérience à 100%"

"Ciao Amici, I know many of you are eager to check off the dozen or so items that mark a trip to Rome. But…there is definitely room to take a historical tour of the city center from the viewpoint of a traveler of the last half of the 19th century. The artists that you’ve come to Rome to experienced have also accomplished great works all over the city, and the city itself has changed, as it has done so many times, reinvigorating itself for new generations while preserving historically that which should not be changed. I asked Emanuele questions about the past, the present, and possibly, what is the future. I think you will certainly enjoy his breadth of knowledge, his clear delivery, and his gracious manner as you learn about a part of Rome which is very dear to him and which will likewise become dear to you with your improved understanding. We were very charmed, as a bonus, to have the opportunity to view a church on Vatican ground. have also greatly enjoyed a book he shared with me, which he has written, containing information and drawings of the much-beloved historical monuments in Rome. I myself am a writer, and I truly am enjoying this novel little book. "

"Emanuele is a wonderful guide. We were in Rome for five nights, and we spent time with him for three of them. He showed us marvelous gems that were not crawling with tourists, and is super knowledgeable about Roman history and art. He planned special surprises for our 15 year old son -- including the Capuchin Crypt, a super-creepy crypt decorated with thousands of bones that is definitely worth a visit. He showed us a Michelangelo sculpture of Moses that is an absolute masterpiece in the Basilica of San Pietro in Vincoli, and countless other surprises. He took great care of my 80 year old mother-in-law and made sure that she was not getting too tired on the walks. For part of the tour, we drove around Rome in his car, and we would park and get out and walk a bit, which was a great way to really experience more of the city. Highly recommended."

"We really enjoyed our day in the small villages of Anguillara Sabazia and Calcata Vecchia after several days in busy Rome. Matteo was an excellent guide and very accommodating. He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off in the Jewish Ghetto per our request. I highly recommend this day tour."

"This day was honestly a highlight of our trip! Matteo was so thoughtful, and really let us jump into life as a local! We had amazing views, stopped and got some great local snacks and a pick me up coffee, and lively conversation all before even reaching Calcatta. Once we arrived, it was like going back in time and stepping into a local’s life there. No tourists or big gimmicks, just art, scenery, hidden restaurants and cats popping in and out of the alleys. The architecture is so cool, but definitely recommend wearing good shoes as you trek up those steps and dip into alleys. Gorgeous views are everywhere! The only reason I’m willing to spill the secret is because Matteo deserves the recommendation! 10/10"

"We had a great day traveling to Calcata with Matteo. We had interesting conversations with Matteo about life in Rome and Italy and got along great with Matteo. We were disappointed that the town was pretty closed down the day we went on the tour. I would have moved around our tour schedule had we known this in advance, and we feel that our guide should have known this and perhaps advised us in advance since we booked months in advance. Despite this we had a great day with Matteo but a less flexible client may have been upset and disappointed to not see Calcata in full swing. We made the best of it and Matteo did great with finding alternative spots for lunch, as well as giving us choices to do lunch back in Rome so we give high marks for being fluid! Thank you!"
