"I was very hesitant to take our 7- and 10-year old to the Borghese gallery… I had been there before and loved it but I was worried it would be too much for kids. Valentina not only made it work, she made it fun. She guided the kids to guess that Caravaggio used himself as a model. She made them follow the transformation of Daphne into a tree by walking slowly around Bernini’s statue. She answered all their questions with patience and gusto. They loved it — and so did I.
