"We went to a cooking class in Florence with Irene. We had so much fun and learned so much! She was able to tailor our menu to be 100% gluten free which was so perfect!! We made ravioli and gnocchi and strawberry tiramisu. She also took us to the market to shop for the things we needed. It was a feast for the eyes! So beautiful! Irene was so welcoming, kind and fun! Highly recommend!! Please participate in this experience if you can! We loved it!!"

"Simone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Communication was great leading up to our day together. On the morning of our booking it was raining so Simone adapted our experience that made it fun for the whole family. We learned about where Giotto grew up and visited a beautiful church. We then went to the saffron farm and had beautiful honey, meat and cheese and wine! We got to meet so many farm animals and learn about the native birds. Our kids 9 and 10 absolutely loved it and so did we! We hope to do more tours with Simone."

"This tour was everything our family hoped for and more. We were needing a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and this beautiful, hike through the countryside was the answer. Simone showed us interesting historical sights, local towns and foods, pointed out various plants and trees, answered our many questions and ended with a true local lunch at a family run farm and winery. It was a breath to fresh air: fun, interesting, beautiful and delicious. "

We were very unfortunate that there was heavy rain during our 'hike & wine tour', but Simone was flexible and smart enough to give it an amazing twist. We went around in his car, got a tour of the winery, and dropped us a a local restaurant for delicious pasta at lunch. "We spent a fantastic four hours with Simone hiking from Dicomano to a local vineyard for a wine tasting and lunch. The hike was at an easy pace and Simone shared the history of the area with us, along with his knowledge of the trees, plants and grapes that grow along the trail. Spectacular views of the surrounding countryside as you make your way to the vineyard. Most enjoyable day away from the city!"

"Simone, is very knowledgeable and passionate about the area. We learned the history of the land, ancient buildings and town. He was quick to point out local plants, herbs and fruit trees along our hike. As a gardener, I really enjoyed the education very much! The hike can be steep, but lots of resting points. You go at your own pace... part of the beauty of a private tour! Wear good hiking shoes and bring water. The winery is stunning! We toured the entire facility and the gorgeous farmhouse. We had our tasting in the outside terrace. The wines are organic, artisanal and wonderful. The food was light and perfect for the hot weather. We were unable to finish it all due to the generous servings. I highly recommend this outing. It’s an easy train ride from Florence and an excellent respite from hustle of the city. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!"
