"We did a food tour with Ruairi - from the time of booking he was flexible and helpful. We were visiting Dublin for the day from a cruise ship at the port of Dun Laoghaire. We needed to adjust our starting time to accommodate transportation time. He gave us a lot of information at the time of booking about other things to do in Dublin, and places to eat and drink. We did take his recommendations and enjoyed them very much. For the food tour itself - we had a wide range of items and locations. Traditional dishes and drinks and a variety of local foods. As we walked and enjoyed the food, Ruairi provided interesting information and wonderful local stories. Not just about the food, but the buildings, businesses, people, and history. A food tour is one of our favorite ways to be introduced to a new city - and this one did not disappoint. "

"Eamon’s passion for the history of Ireland showed throughout the tour. Eamon arrived early to meet with us. It was just like having a friend in Dublin showing you around. He took us into places we never would have thought to go, or even been known we were allowed. We had asked for places to go where locals go (such as non touristy pubs) and he sent us a list in advance. He gave us practical tips for our stay. He scoped out and rated the bathrooms for us (which as women we really appreciated!). He is flexible and started the tour with telling us to let him know if we wanted to stop for coffee, a pint or a bite to eat. We were quite hungry by the end of our tour and stopped for lunch. During lunch he continued our history lesson complete with photos. We highly recommend Eamon if you are ever in Dublin! "

"Oh this is hard review to write. Did we ADORE Mydie? Absolutely! What's not to love!? A fabulous personality: 100%. Genuine kindness 100%. Complete realness 100%. A drive to be of any aid or assistance to help make our Ireland trip memorable 100%. Personality overall 126% fabulous!!! Ok now to hard business Was Mydie late? Yes Was Mydie's tardiness enough to worry me? Yes. Did we consider leaving? Yes. Were we discussing how to get a refund? Yes. Value for money. On the recommendation of WithLocals, I messaged Mydie months ago wondering if there was an angle possible to do a walking tour but incorporate some sort of food experience? She replied to book the 3hr walking tour and she'd incorporate her food tour but we'd pay on site for the food... Perfect! We booked. After booking, I did request,... since this had rapidly become a customized tour, to focus on Irish cheeses and then just a "normal" walking tour. I was so excited that I kept telling my husband "First day I booked you a walking cheese tour!" Well For almost $300usd We saw lovely things. Things we might have walked past. We had: 3 potato pancakes with a tsp of beans on a cracker (which was lovely) and 3 cucumber slices (+1 soda +1 Guinness) = additional $23. A shared doughnut (not on Mydie's tour, but i liked the look of the place) Fish and chips from the "oldest fish and chip shop in Dublin" (which she admitted she can't stand behind that claim lol... adore the honesty) We chose to share a portion. Which sadly ended in the bin as soon as we found one. Simply personal preference and doesn't reflect in Mydie's review. Additional $30 We shared 2 scoops of ice cream. (Still very puzzled by this generic tourist trap) Additional $8 As I said. Hard review to write. Did we love Mydie? 126%. She's a total gem! Did we love the walkabout? 85%. It was a great way to get out and feel taken care of while getting our bearings. Value for $? Stay home. Invite Mydie to dinner out instead it'll be lovely. I don't blame the host here AT ALL. I blame the company and the rules it sets on the host. Do I recommend Mydie as a person? 126% After the 2.5 hour tour (not 3) did I go to the local lydl near the hotel and buy a chunk of cheese for my dear husband of 28yrs? Sure did! Lol Was this a $400 2.5hr event. Goodness good gravy heck no! 😆 🤣 Is Mydie a person I wish every human could be molded after? Goodness good gravy heck yes! And there you go. "

"My family really enjoyed our tour with Jack the other day! First of all, he was super organized which I really appreciated. Jack responded right away after I booked the tour and he also called and emailed me the night before our tour to confirm the details for our meeting the next morning. As far as the tour itself, Jack was super knowledgeable and also pretty funny. He worked well with all members of our family. I also liked the way that Jack was flexible with the route of our tour. He adjusted at the end when we decided to change up our plans after the tour. I’m really glad I selected Jack when I was picking out a tour guide! "
