Great start for our visit!
"Beata is very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave us a fantastic start for our 4 day first visit to Budapest. She explained the history, architecture and culture very well. We will now explore some of the sights we didn’t have time to see today. "
"Gabor was a truly passionate guide and was the perfect companion for our walking tour. He provided endless information, was very attentive and was good at gauging our interests and worked hard to fit in all the things he thought we'd like to see or learn about - for us it was Sissi, ruin bars and hidden sculptures. It was fast paced as there was so much ground to cover, although we were able to experience a ride on the oldest metro which was a treat. Gabor gave us some great tips on other bits we couldn't experience on the day, which we have since explored on our own. The only thing missing was a local snack or drink as advertised, but we had so much to see that we didn't realise this had been missed out until later. This is the fourth time we've used Withlocals to explore a city and it is always well worth it. Köszönöm Gabor!"

Wonderful tour
"Really enjoyed our tour with Andras - perfect intro to our stay in Budapest. Highly recommend"
"Emoke did a great job showing us around Budapest and finding great dishes even though many places were closed for the holidays. She was relentless in making sure we had a great experience. She also gave us so much history and information about the city and it's culture. "
"Beata was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure that we saw so much in the short amount of time we had. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure that we ate and drank the most delicious things while seeing the best that Budapest has to offer. Highly recommended. "
"We booked our tour for our first day in Budapest so that we could get a lay of the land and some recommendations while we were here. Gabor was the perfect guide to help us get settled. We learned the fascinating history of Budapest and got a sense of our surroundings, which allowed us to plan the next few days of our trip efficiently. We especially appreciated the tip about running the 5k loop on Margaret Island. Thank you for a great introduction to Budapest!"

Emoke's the best - Culinary Kickstart tour
"First, Emoke was very flexible and accommodating due to some misfortunes with getting to Budapest in the travel part of our trip from the USA. We were in constant communication as we navigated our way to Budapest, and she actually went out of her way to meet us at the hotel that we were switched to, squeezing us into her schedule. The tour was excellent, her love of and passionate embrace of Hungary was evident as she guided us through the city and the history of the region as we sampled local cuisine. We ended our tour having goulash and paprika chicken, which brought me back to my childhood as it was something my mom used to make, and finished with delicious strudels. We highly recommend choosing Emoke if you're considering doing a food tour in Budapest (and we suggest you do!)."
"Nick gave a food tour for me and my family (me, my husband, my 79 year old mom and my 3 teenage kids). He speaks perfect English as his father is from England. We had already been in Budapest for a few days, but hadn't experienced it like he presented it and it was fabulous. We also also loved his insight of the culture and history of Budapest as well. He was so kind and made sure my mom was taken care of and that my kids were involved. I could not recommend him more! "
