"Our tour with Eleni was entertaining and informative. In high season I definitely recommend going early (we went at 8:30AM) because later in the morning dozens (not exaggerating) of tour buses will flood the place. Also better for hot days. Eleni kept us engaged while taking care of avoiding stops in full sun. She obviously knows her subject. The visit to the archeological museum was super interesting and fascinating. "Eleni contacted us several days prior to our tour and offered to arrange a private taxi to the Knossis Palace due to the National holiday and road closings on the day of our tour. We were very thankful for this! The morning of our tour, Eleni was sick but sent a colleague, Katarina. She provided a wonderful walking tour of old town Heraklion with stops for traditional coffee and pie and tastings of local olive oil. As Eleni, Katarina is an archeologist and provided an in depth and informative tour of the Knossis Palace. Lastly, she suggested a local restaurant for lunch and was able to get us in for the last minute reservations. Lunch was excellent!"
