"Booked last minute for a 2 hour private tour on a short visit to Split, a group of 10 (2 families). Josko responded very quickly to my online request and within an hour of booking we were meeting him and immersed in Croatian and Split history and geography. Josko was incredibly knowledgeable, having been born and brought up in Split. His passion for the city and Croatia was evident and also for sharing it with others. "Dubravka’s warmth and considerable historical knowledge of Split, the Dalmatian area and Croatia kept the four of us completely engaged for almost four hours. We learnt so much about the history of Split, the buildings and their origins, the people and, probably the most touchingly, how Dubravka’s family and their traditions were woven into the city. She was warm and completely authentic, full of knowledge and side stories of the people who lived in Split over the last 2,000 years. As we walked through the narrow streets with her, she would pop into a cafe here or a shop there, treating us to some very special chocolate, a Pipi soda (and the amusing back-story), and other Split specialties, and we were rather sad for the afternoon to end. She had already run over by about an hour, and I am sure she was ready to call it a day, but she gave us no sign of that. The afternoon ended as it had begun, with a warm hug for each of us, and we felt like we had made a new friend. It really was a wonderful thing to do and we cannot recommend Dubravka highly enough. "

"We had a great tour with Joško! I am Croatian-American and came to Split with my husband and daughter. We stayed at Diocletian’s Palace and wanted to know the history and take a tour without the crowds and cruise ship tourists. We did a walking tour for about two hours in the evening so it was not too hot and not very busy. Jośko was friendly, informative and made a connection with us. He even suggested a great tavern to have dinner at and walked us there before the end of our tour. It was really nice to experience and appreciate the history of the city of Split with someone local.
