Here’s an overview of your tour

We'll meet at Bologna Centrale station and take the train out of town to start our wine day in the Colli Bolognesi winemaking area, home to fragrant Pignoletto DOCG wines among others.

After coffee, we'll start the half-hour walk at a relaxed pace to the first winery, stopping to stroll through vines and enjoy the views on the way.

The winery has recently been taken over by a young team who are busy bringing the estate back to life. We can see the winery and enjoy a tasting on the terrace with views over Bologna's historic centre or in the cosy tasting room. With the wines we'll enjoy a platter of good traditional cold cuts and cheese with typical bakery products (ask in advance if you'd like a vegetarian option).

We'll continue our walk on quiet roads, enjoying the countryside and views to reach the second winery.

This historic family-run winery is the place to find out more about Bologna's wine culture and local traditions whilst enjoying some memorable wines with more tasty produce.

It's just five minutes on foot to the station where we'll catch the train back to central Bologna.
