Day Trip to the Montserrat Mountain

Join me for a private day trip from Barcelona to the beautiful Montserrat! Beautiful views and great insights are just the beginning.

During our private drive to the mountain I'll share with you all the great stories surrounding the region and the enchanting legends of Montserrat.

We'll visit the beautiful basilica, where you'll get to see the Black Madonna at Montserrat, also know as 'La Moreneta' It's traditional to kiss or touch the Virgin's hand whilst opening out your other hand to Jesus. Legend says great things will follow if you do that! While we're here, I'll make sure you don't miss any of the insights about this sacred place.

You'll enjoy stunning views during our short walk the mountain trail as we'll reach 720m above the sea level and see breath-taking panoramas of the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean Sea. If you're not that much into mountain walks, don't worry I can adapt everything according to your wishes.

Before we head back to Barcelona, we'll stop at a local farmer market and try out some delicious "mel i mató" which is local cheese with honey. I promise you'll love it!

After this awesome day I will bring you back to your location in Barcelona. Please let me know if you have any special requests and I'll personalize the tour accordingly!

* On Saturdays, on sundays and on local holidays the parking is getting full earlier. Bookings only up to 9 am or since 2 pm in the afternoon.

* If you really want to see and touch the Black Madonna or the boyschoire, please let me know in advance because it is necessary reservation. We, as a tour guides, have an access to a special website from where we can get the passes but it is good to do it several days or in advance, especially from april to october.

*In the late afternoons and evening, the place is less busy and it is easier to find reservations for the basilica and Black Madonna.

*Since May 2023, for entering to the Basilica (Main Church), it is necessary getting a reservation (8€ each since April 2024). There is a pass for 11 € each, which includes also the visit to the 'Moreneta' or 'Black Madonna'.

* Asking me in case you would like to watch the boyschoire performance. They don't sing on Saturdays and don't sing in July and August.

It costs 11€ each but there are just a few passes available every day. But we won't find passes for the choireunless you book this tour with me at least 30 days before the daytrip or in pretty high season (some days in January, February and beginning March).

* Once you get a confirmation for the booking please tell me what kind of pass you need: only basilica (8€ each), basilica + black madonna (11€ each), choire + basilica (11€ each) choire + basilica + black madonna + art gallery (22€)
