"Chị Du was a truly wonderful guide and made our time in Huế so special. She was warm, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she shared fascinating details that felt tailored to our interests rather than scripted. Every question we asked was met engaging, funny, and fascinating answers. She really made the history come alive in a way that was both fun and easy to follow. She was also incredibly patient and generous with her time, and spoke excellent English and Vietnamese to make sure everyone felt included and comfortable. On top of that, she was amazing at helping us take photos, pointing out great spots and making sure we captured the moment without ever feeling rushed. The three hours flew by so quickly because the tour was both educational and genuinely enjoyable. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Huế, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly, highly recommend!!"

"My partner and I had such a fabulous time going around Hoi An and Hue food tour with Du! She was so knowledgeable and knew just what to order and how to explain everything we were eating. She was very concerned about food allergies and would make sure to check with the kitchen to make sure everything is safe to eat. She had a love of her country and its history and was so willing and happy to share it. We went to spots that only locals would know to go to and ate amazing food. I really loved learning the history of the middle country and how it developed into Vietnam. I would recommend everyone use Du for their future trips to Hue ! "We made a late call to arrange a tour of the Imperial City, lucky for us Matthew was available and confirmed straight away. We had not used With Locals before so were a little apprehensive about using a new company. However what a great decision. Matthew was outstanding, even helping us with info on where to eat the day before our tour started. His enthusiasm and expertise on the background and historical significance of the events leading up to the eventual abdication of the last King were enlightening and entertaining.
