Thuy is a fountain of knowledge, not only about Hoi An, but also about the various religions and the history of Vietnam. Her English is excellent, so the conversation follows easily and is comfortable. Both during (an excellent) lunch and the visit to Duc An Old Merchant house she told more about history in general, and from a more personal point of view of her generation and that of her (grand)parents.
