"This was our second tour with Quynh Anh (Anne to us), after a food tour the day before — and she was just as good the second time around. A word on logistics first: she was very responsive when we contacted her through the Withlocals app, got back to us quickly, and coordinating everything was completely seamless. Her English is also fantastic.
The city tour itself covered a nice range of Hanoi. We visited the beautifully restored Cantonese Assembly Hall on Hang Buom — built by Chinese merchants 400 years ago — a museum showing how houses in Hanoi were built over time, and Dong Xuan Market, the big two-storey market in the Old Quarter, which is quite something to wander through. We finished with a stop at a coffee house for a classic sweet Vietnamese coffee, which rounded things off nicely.
As with the food tour, Anne struck the right balance — knowledgeable, easygoing, and great with the kids. Two-for-two. Highly recommended."

"We had such a wonderful time today during our guided tour through Hanoi with Kim, our super kind and knowledgeable guide. I honestly wouldn’t have known where to start with this city and how to navigate traffic whilst walking hand in hand with two kids ;-) Kim knows a lot about the city and Vietnam and took us to places we had otherwise never seen. We very much enjoyed the temple of literature and our very authentic local lunch. You’re in great hands with Kim so don’t hesitate to book a tour with him! "
"We had a 24 layover in Hanoi in July 2026. Lien asked our interests and created a lovely itinerary for us. Yes, you can walk through the Old Quarter on your own but she explained the history, what each street sold, and took us into a home for snacks and drinks. We took photos by the lake, saw temples, learned about the religious culture and saw Ha Loa prison. We booked for three hours but she kindly extended the time for us. My daughter was worried about the heat, so Lien organized the tour with some indoor and outdoor. My daughter had no issues. Lien knows so much about this city and had answers to all our questions-she really loves this city and her work. Super recommend her. "
