We visited many of Hanoi’s major highlights, including important historical and cultural sites, and at each stop, Liên shared interesting information, we also just enjoyed spending time with her and getting to know a local. "We met up with Loan at Dong Xuan market and spent the next 3 hours exploring places only locals would know. Time flew and although there was a fair amount of walking we knew we seeing and hearing something special - Loan doesn’t just regurgitate facts about history but puts her own warm personal touch on them with a depth of feeling that is difficult to describe. We ended our tour at the Maison Centrale prison which was both emotional and shocking whilst humbling and informative.
