"This was our second tour with Quynh Anh (Anne to us), after a food tour the day before — and she was just as good the second time around. A word on logistics first: she was very responsive when we contacted her through the Withlocals app, got back to us quickly, and coordinating everything was completely seamless. Her English is also fantastic. The city tour itself covered a nice range of Hanoi. We visited the beautifully restored Cantonese Assembly Hall on Hang Buom — built by Chinese merchants 400 years ago — a museum showing how houses in Hanoi were built over time, and Dong Xuan Market, the big two-storey market in the Old Quarter, which is quite something to wander through. We finished with a stop at a coffee house for a classic sweet Vietnamese coffee, which rounded things off nicely. As with the food tour, Anne struck the right balance — knowledgeable, easygoing, and great with the kids. Two-for-two. Highly recommended."

" This food tour was the first of two experiences we did with Quynh Anh (we just called her Anne, which she was happy with). We met around 6pm near the lake in central Hanoi, and over the next three hours or so she took us to four or five different places, each with a different cuisine — banh mi among them. Again and again these were spots we'd never have found on our own: unnamed restaurants down back alleys that don't show up in any guidebook. The finish was the most memorable part. Thanks to Anne, we ended up at a place right on Train Street with front-row seats for the train coming through — and the kids were delighted watching it pass within a few inches of the storefronts of all the bars along the track. She even had us put a beer bottle cap on the rail, then we picked it up flattened afterwards as a little souvenir of the visit. A really cool touch. A great evening all round — so good, in fact, that we booked Anne again for a second experience. Highly recommended."

"Tuyen took us around the old wuarter and showed us great nuggets and we tasted great local food. Definitely places we wouldnt go to ourselves.
