"Earl really nailed the vibe of our family which isn’t always easy to do with three teenage boys to entertain. But he did that and also provided great content for my wife and I. Super interesting, quirky histories of the downtown area and we varied things up on the tour (food stops, slight deviations led by us). Earl didn’t miss a beat. "We booked the 10 stop tasting tour of Little Italy but before we arrived Earl suggested splitting it between China town and Little Italy which was fantastic news as that’s what we wanted to do. Earl’s communication before the trip was great and directions clear. We had an absolutely fantastic time exploring both areas and Earl was a fountain of historic knowledge wherever we went. It was great that it wasn’t just about the food but we really got a feel for the history of these areas and went to places there’s no way we’d have visited other wise. "Jordan guided us through a deep dive into the West Village and its history as a completely singular neighborhood (*his* neighborhood!). We got the granular details as well as big picture context (northward movement of the wealthy, deliberate architectural changes to buildings to attract artists--imagine that happening today!--the role of neighborhood activists, and the rural past explaining the ungridlike configuration of many streets). He was kind enough to incorporate a couple of midtown things I'd requested, a particular mural in Grand Central, and the glorious Chrysler Building, before delivering us to the madhouse of the theater district for our matinee. The tour was over too soon--highly recommended!"
