We were treated to sites and information that the regular tourist would not know about or have access to: rooftop view of the Grand Bazaar, where to find the best doner or bakery at the Grand Bazaar, and the history of the Grand Bazaar. Mine took us to shops that had been at the Grand Bazaar for generations and introduced us to the owners/artisans - we took tea with one of the shop owners. We felt no pressure to make purchases."
