"The tour was a 10. Exactly what we were looking for. Our guide Bas was incredibly nice. He made sure we were comfortable in every way. Told us all about the city and the history. Bas told us about local things that were happening right now to check out. The boat was really clean and beautiful it was relaxed and private. I watched many of the large tourist boats go by and all the long lines of people waiting to go on tours. This experience was intimate. We truly felt like a local friend picked us up and showed us around their city. "

"I wanted to find a unique Canal cruise for adults. We were going on a Canal cruise during the day as an excursion from our cruise ship, and wanted to have something more unique to do on our own before we boarded the ship. My concerns were it had been inclement weather and cold. We needed a boat that was small, intimate, covered, and heated.jannah offered all this and then some! She purchased red wine for us to have during the evening, cruise and supply glasses. She was very knowledgable and answered all of her questions, and took us on a great cruise to see the lights of Amsterdam during the night. We went off the beaten track and saw some great” behind the scenes” areas. The highlight was having a private to her to ourselves, intimate was blowing, a covered boat to protect us from the rain, and potentially heat in case it was cold. I would highly recommend Beer and Jannah. "

"We had a great 2 hour cruise around Amsterdam's canals with Beer. We set out mid-morning on a Saturday. The boat was comfortable and roomy. You could sit at the stern and enjoy the cool fall air, or sit inside the heated cabin and avoid the chill. The boat - like all boats on the canals, Beer told us - was all electric so was quiet and smooth. Beer covered lots of local history, pointed out architecture and specific buildings, and we all came away knowing much more about the city. At the end he even dropped us off near a cafe we had booked for lunch. Overall a great experience for the four of us I would recommend to anyone visiting."

"This is a tour you should take if you want to learn about Amsterdam from a true local perspective. We talked about many topics, most of them ones we were curious about. Yannah touched on geology and geography as it related to the founding and growth of Amsterdam. She grew up on a canal and has been on boats since she was a little girl. Truly a tour that left you thinking you really got to know someone in Amsterdam. We were able to see an area of Amsterdam that not many visitors get to see. She spoke of philosophy of the Amsterdam way of thinking and how it is the basis for the progressive nature of the city. We learned about the 80’s in Amsterdam and how squatters contributed so much to Amsterdam society. We were so lucky to have booked this tour. You should book one today."
