"My partner and I spent a wonderful hour and a half floating around the canals with Beer. He was not only knowledgeable, but super personable. We really enjoyed getting to know him, the canals, and some of the history of the area. Beer also made sure to have a bunch of drinks (thank goodness because it was literally 98F degrees when we went), some munchies, and gave us many recommendations on cool places to check out. When we go back to Amsterdam, I will be booking another round from Beer and Jannah! Support a small business and their excellent camaraderie. 10/10 would (and will) hire them again!"

"Frederik was a delightful host for our canal cruise. We spent two hours aboard the Delphine. Amsterdam’s canals were teeming with boats of every size and shape, as we glided through the waters and around old and older Amsterdam. It was a treat to be in a smaller boat and with only a party of three, instead of those long boats bursting at the seams with large groups. Extremely knowledgeable, Frederik regaled us with some of the history of Amsterdam’s past and present. Would recommend it highly to anyone interested in a canal cruise. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our small boat private tour with Beer. He was knowledgeable and passionate about his home. We traversed many small canals, discussed history, the homes along the canals and were dropped near our next scheduled tour so the timing was perfect. He had some bubbles that he provided which made the tour more fun! Because we were with a small independent company, we were able to reschedule when our flight was cancelled, and we had to switch tour days. If we had booked with a large company that convenience and flexibility would not have happened. We would have lost our money on the tour. Go local whenever you can! There are usually perks included!"

"This is a tour you should take if you want to learn about Amsterdam from a true local perspective. We talked about many topics, most of them ones we were curious about. Yannah touched on geology and geography as it related to the founding and growth of Amsterdam. She grew up on a canal and has been on boats since she was a little girl. Truly a tour that left you thinking you really got to know someone in Amsterdam. We were able to see an area of Amsterdam that not many visitors get to see. She spoke of philosophy of the Amsterdam way of thinking and how it is the basis for the progressive nature of the city. We learned about the 80’s in Amsterdam and how squatters contributed so much to Amsterdam society. We were so lucky to have booked this tour. You should book one today."
"The tour was a 10. Exactly what we were looking for. Our guide Bas was incredibly nice. He made sure we were comfortable in every way. Told us all about the city and the history. Bas told us about local things that were happening right now to check out. The boat was really clean and beautiful it was relaxed and private. I watched many of the large tourist boats go by and all the long lines of people waiting to go on tours. This experience was intimate. We truly felt like a local friend picked us up and showed us around their city. "
