"Kit is the best guide! He is incredibly kind and informative, providing detailed and interesting info about Buddhism and the history and culture of Chiang Mai. The early start time is well worth it as you get to experience the temple with minimal other people and view the monks rituals up close and personal. The scenery, views, architecture, and natural features of the temples are breathtaking. "This tour will surely be one of our highlights during our time in Chiang Mai. Yes it calls for an early rise, but the experience is well worth it. Kit has an insight to the temple that is unique and he took the time to educate us with the traditions we would participate in, not just tell us what to do. As a result the experience was so much more fulfilling. From placing gold leaf on a statue, to giving alms to the monks (sans shoes) this had it all.
