"We had a fantastic walking tour of Chiang Mai with Ae and highly recommend her. She began by giving us a clear and helpful overview of the Old City—its 1-square-mile layout, historic gates, and the symbolism behind its shape. She also explained the history of the moat, originally built as protection from fire.
Ae guided us through back alleyways, local snack markets (treating us to a few samples), and helped us enjoy our first tuk tuk ride between Nimman and the Old City. We visited several temples, including Wat Phra Singh, Viharn Lai Kham, Wat Phan On, and more. She taught us proper temple etiquette, including the significance of bowing three times, and shared interesting cultural details like how lantern colors align with the day of one’s birth.
One meaningful stop was the Mae Kha Canal area, where Ae explained recent flooding and the government’s revitalization efforts. The tour included refreshments at Naree Café, a unique spot run by incarcerated women, and a quick walkthrough of Warorot Market before our tuk tuk back to Nimman.
Ae was knowledgeable, engaging, and thoughtful throughout the tour. She made the city easy to understand and appreciate. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an insightful introduction to Chiang Mai."

Chiang Mai’s hidden gems with Wuthikorn
"We just got back from a fantastic morning tour with Wuthikorn. He took us to some wonderful and interesting places in Chiang Mai and off the tourist map. We enjoyed seeing how the locals lived and loved his coffee recommendations! Wuthikorn explained Chiang Mai history very well and how to appreciate what we looked at in the temples. He is not a boring tour guide! We appreciated how he was able to pivot from a walking tour to a tour with a car because of a last minute leg injury. "

Thoughtful exploration around the city
"May was a fantastic guide who led us through markets, temples, and great little spots around the city. Her thoughtful explanations about budism and the significance of temple structure and art made for an immersive and educational experience. She even took us to a light lunch to learn about the women's prisoner work-release program. All and all, it was a great experience and May was amazing!"
